Catching Up - 365

Photo 8 - Project 365

I officially am going to change the titles of my posts from “Day” to “Photo”.  After an uninspiring week of -20 temperatures and days consisting of driving the girls to the bus stop and going right back into the house to not leave again all day, I was unimpressed with taking yet another photo of the dog, beer or my feet.  Plus, on some days I get more than one photo that I really would rather remember the week by so I’m still going to get to 365, one photo at a time rather than one day at a time!

This is a tattoo parlor down the road from us.  They covered up the old siding with this steel and I always thought the straight lines contrasted with the very curvy tree were interesting.

I took this photo and of course, the next few days were even colder..too cold to pull out my camera and take another photo.  I won’t forget that the lowest I saw was -19.

Jase is taking a stained glass class which he has wanted to do for quite a while.  I went with him  to Glass Endeavors one day and there are so many cool patterns and glass that I had to take back my snickering comment about his “Old Lady Project”.  I already have a few things in mind I want him to make!

There is one group on Flickr who does a 365 project completely made of self portraits.  If I would have done that project, I would be on the computer, Photoshopping myself for way too long this year but I’ll throw a few in here or there.

This is my neice.  She was having none of my picture taking.

I rented a wide angle for our vacation (next post!).  I wish my legs were as long as this lens shows them.  I was the shortest person in my family growing up and in about one more inch, I’ll be the shortest of my husband and stepkids too.  I blame it on drinking coffee when I was 10.  My parents always told me it would stunt my growth.

February 3, 2009 - 8:44 pm Michelle - since I'm on a roll with the comments just have to add that your niece is gorgeous even if she was having none of you! BTW your legs rock, short and all- never noticed they were short though!
