Newbie

Either Baby S liked me and was totally comfortable with me putting him in lots ‘o bendy poses or he was just totally bored by me and decided to sleep the session away.  Either way, he was so out that this was the quickest newborn session I’ve ever had.  And if he was really bored, I’m not offended.  That’s what I’m going for.  Bored newborn = fast session, less poo, sleepiness.  Photographer girl all sweaty with crazy hair is so not as fun or interesting to hang out with as snuggly mom and dad who have the good stuff in the bottle.

Baby J

This 10 day old kiddo made me work for my money.  His demands like ‘keep me warm’ had me sweating and ‘I want to stretch’ had me sweating more!    Totally worth it though and I hope mom and dad (who were both on the receiving end during naked baby time) think so too!

Little Redhead

I can’t get over the cuteness of little Mr. S and his cute head of red.  Mom held off getting his hair cut before the session and I’m so glad she did!

He was quick but I managed to be quicker and got a shot of that sparkle…

Project 365 - 28-29

Just when I thought I was catching up…

I guess I’m on the old school kick right now.  That and iPhone photos just need a little extra something before they are posted.  So they got the polaroid treatment for a little more character than Apple was able to provide.  I’m sure there’s an application that will do this on my phone for me but it’s taken me since Christmas to figure out how to get the photos off of my phone in the first place so I’ll stick with Photoshop for now.

Photo 28 -  Just driving around the city.

Photo 29 - I was making dinner one night and I looked up and the sky had turned orange.  Being in the city doesn’t always allow for the best sunset views with wires, houses and leafy trees blocking the view but on the occasions that the sun and clouds decide to play nice together, it’s pretty cool even through the clutter.

Hey Pops!

Just kidding, I’ve never called my dad pops.  I just wanted to make sure I caught his attention in case he was quickly browsing my blog.  I wanted to make sure I wished him a happy birthday by posting a favorite photo of him.

A couple years ago a scanned a TON of family photos, even some that were on slides, and put them on disk for my sisters and parents.  I was taking a peek through some folders on my hard drive and took a while to look at them again and had to post this one for him.  I just love it.  My mom took it while they were on their honeymoon.  It kind of makes me want to print out more photos I take so they look all cool, scratched, dirty and aged when my kids look at them.  I think that’s a cool part of looking through old photographs that the next generation will miss.

Happy Birthday Dad!
