Of Summer Past

I don’t look back through my blog too often but I did just this week and realized I’ve been extra lame!  After I started the year with my “365 photo-a-day” project and didn’t make it into the second month, I realized that I haven’t posted any personal photos at all after falling off that train.  Sometimes it’s hard to keep the hobby up after it turns to a job which really, is just plain sad.    So I dug through my summer photos and am posting some of the ones I made a point to take (admittedly too few) with hopes it will remind me to take photos for ‘me’ a bit more often because I can’t be business all the time.  Where’s the fun in that?  (Ok, my business is fun but you get my point.)

Here are some from my Boundary Waters Trip folder.

Notice the moon peeking out?  I was up THAT early which is probably the earliest I was up all summer.

Prettiest berries I’ve ever seen (with a little Lensbaby action).

Minneapolis Photographer

This is one of ‘those’ photos.  The ones that are all about the feeling and not about the technicalities.  Early morning with the rare luxury of no rainfly, dew on the tent, cool breeze, cold nose, damp sleeping bag, birds and quiet water.

St. Paul Photographer

Taken from ‘The Island’ which had a little better sunset view than our campsite.

Stillwater Photographer

A little more Lensbaby action.  This photo makes me dizzy which is kind of why I like it.
