One Million Bubbles

I’m really not behind in my Project 52, I’m just behind in posting!

For week two, we still didn’t have a specific theme so I just took a very random photo…that I have to explain or it just looks random.

I was out on Lake Nokomis, playing ice chunk fetch with Ike (until we got busted by the leash cop) and there was quite a bit of uncovered ice because of the recent rain.   I don’t think I have ever seen clear ice like this on a lake in my life!  The rest of the lake was solid translucent white  (or snow covered) except for these patches here.   Suspended bubbles, darkness below, walking on glass.  Kind of cool.  A little skylight for the fish.

Catching up on sneak peeks!!  I’ve been a bit slow with blog posts while I try to squeeze the last bit of enjoyment out of the summer!

Awesome session recently with three very quick cuties.  The best thing about morning sessions with little ones is it is often times my workout for the day.  Whew!

Mom of these kiddos was the recipient of a gift certificate that I donated to Serving Our Troops, an organization of local businesses that put their heads (and restaurants) together and started grilling  up steaks, Mancini style, and serving them to military troops in Iraq and their families here at home.  Along with the dinner, families were able to teleconference with their loved ones overseas.   Check out the website if you’re interested in volunteering or donating!  They are planning on another round of steaks for troops! And if you haven’t stopped by Cossetta’s in St. Paul recently (or ever!) make a date and get over there.  (psst, Mr. Cossetta happens to be lucky grandpa to these cuties and a key player in getting Serving Our Troops started!)

Hi cute kids with sunshine in their curly hair.  I LOVE that!  And what a couple of personalities.  To get little Mr. B into his groove, I just had to mention ‘Batman’ but I didn’t dare say Spiderman!  Little Mr. C was so sweet and inquisitive and gave me a break from chasing his older brother around.  Thanks to mom for letting me hang out with her two kiddos on a beautiful morning!

There isn’t much better than a child with soulful, deep brown eyes.  Except three children with those eyes…and a few baby bubbles to top it off!

After dodging the rumored morning rain, it was a beautiful morning for a session yesterday.   These two little guys kept me on my feet and even mom and dad had me sweating on the hike down to the river.  Maybe I should start charging extra for that!  Nah, totally worth it since they were all awesome to work with….and extra cute on top of it!

Yup, the belly button is still there!
